MOUNTAIN bike riders get their chance on Tuesday, June 23, to have a say on developing and marketing riding in the state.
Sport and Recreation Tasmania has engaged consultants from Inspiring Place to develop a mountain bike plan for Tasmania. A community forum will be held at the West Tamar Council, Riverside, at 7pm for riders, land managers and others. A draft strategy is expected to be released in August. The Kate Reed Nature Recreation Area at Prospect and the Trevallyn State Reserve are major riding areas and face problems with illegal tracks and other issues.
